The Ice Wolf of Europa

Moon of Jupiter, home to an incredible pack of Ice Wolves. icewolves1They roam the Moon freely… in fact, they roam the Solar System freely, so advanced they are. From their observatory hidden deeply within the vast Pwyll Crater on Europa they watch the comings and goings of the Universe with great interest.

Are they observers or are they planning or plotting something?

Being human, we tend to look at things from a defensive perspective, and would probably opt for the latter option. But the Ice Wolves? What of them? Why can they not just be silent observers, simply watching. And learning? Willing to share what they learn and their thoughts with us, and the rest of the populated Universe.

They can be mystical, magical creatures. They utilise the power of the stars and the Sun, both ours and theirs together, and draw from the strengthening Power of Light and the immense Depth of Darkness.icewolves4They’ve existed for eons.  Possibly longer than the known Solar System has existed, and possibly even longer than the Sun. They use their memories of ancient times to enable them to develop further and evolve. To change.

And change, they do very well.

They’re shape-shifters. Well, they have to be for when they visit Earth. We’d all be a little freaked out if a pure white wolf walked into the room and said a cheery “Good Morning!” now, wouldn’t we?

They still keep their lupine qualities when in human form, so are always alert, have a keen sense of smell and excellent hearing. In fact, they will always be ‘of the wolf’. And this particular pack will always be of Europa too.icewolves5

Icewolves of Europa.

Coming soon (if they aren’t already here).

Some posts just have to be re-blogged!! This is the first post on Tom’s new blog “Splodge and Spatter” and it is Tom’s generosity of spirit that has hauled me back from blogging meltdown when I was ready recently to throw in the blogging towel and vanish into the cosmic dust never to be seen again 🙂 The friendships we build here are far more important than any stat’s on our blogs and whilst we all want our blogs to do well the WordPress community and friends within it should never be overlooked in favour of blog popularity or lack of. Tom is a great guy with a fantastic imagination. If you enjoy a blog with a difference Tom’s bog is a must to visit! His main blog site can be found here: and I cannot recommend it highly enough 🙂 Wolfie hugs to all my WordPress friends!

  3. I found my way here via a mutual wolfie friend and I’m glad I did.
I wouldn’t be freaked out by a white wolf speaking to me, but I can imagine most bipeds would be!

  4. Reblogged this on Beyond the Sphere and commented:

In order to boost creativity, I have started another new blog, Splodge and Splatter. It’s for my artistic side (otherwise known as my Inner Artist) to have a go at creating images to provide inspiration for posts for my normal blog; and for that blog also.
My first post over there features the legendary Europan Icewolf, which I will now reblog here.
Splodge and Splatter will only be updated intermittently, not as often as Beyond the Sphere (although at the moment that is actually saying something). I may also visit images created for past posts here, and re-do them over there.
As I say, it’s just for the creative process.

But here is The Icewolf of Europa…

  5. Busy Boy we are these days! Good one TL…Love the name of course. I hope Splodge and Splatter will be photographed on there as well…Good wolf post! Enjoyed it. Hope all is well. Looking forward to more creativity from you…VK 🙂
