We’re currently going through the Perseids, and as such that means we get treated to the annual Perseid Meteor Shower. Unfortunately, that ‘we’ doesn’t include little old moi, as I have never seen them (apart from the odd shooting star or two, but nothing ‘more’ spectacular.) So this year, I’ve taken matters into my own hands, and created this scene through PowerPoint of the full effect of the meteor shower over the Lake.
So, I present the Perseid Meteor Shower as seen through my Mind’s Eye.
Yes, I’d like to lay back in my garden with the night sky above and hot particles of dust vapourising happily overhead, but I have no garden and no vantage point where I wouldn’t risk being mugged!!! 🙂
Such are the joys of living in a town with two Police officers at night who are vastly outnumbered by drug crazed teenagers… 😦
God Bless!

That could be a tad tricky, I suppose, Prenin.
Mind you, if you did have a good vantage point, you may find yourself in the same boat as me and see one – if you’re lucky!

Glad you have taken matters into your own hands Tom.. I only ever saw some shooting stars when lived in the countryside before I got married.. So I thank you for this beautiful creation.. May we all wish upon a star.. ❤ You have created plenty for ALL.. ❤ 🙂

Oh, I did that, Sue. Thanks!
At least this way we do get a good view!

I like your meteor shower! Every year I get excited about the seeing the spectacular meteor showers that the media promises, and every year I see a couple of shooting stars (if I’m lucky). Your version is what I see in my mind’s eye, too!

It would be fabulous to see something like this in real life, Diane… but I think things up there are a little more slower than we want them to be! 🙂
